    Re: Body Armor —Bruce Schlickbernd
(...) After looking through the UFO stuff, the only cheap little set I could find this in was 2847. Anyone know if this is still available lurking on some forgotten shelf? Any other sets that contain it? Bruce (24 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) 2965 has one. But I also found 5384 UFO accessories which has two (gray and black). Oh wow! Perfect! That is until I called Lego Shop-at-Home and they confirmed that they are sold out. :-( Bruce (24 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.castle)

The UFO armor pads also appear in many Insectoids sets. It's been seen in two colors: Black and Dark Grey. The black version appears to have made more appearances and is available in many smaller sets. Don't destroy those wonderful UFO figs though. (...) (24 years ago, 17-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) When I was at the Georgia Lego Outlet earlier this week they had 2 to 3 cardboard displays of set 2847 for $1.99. Last I heard, they ship older out of production sets anywhere in the U.S. Their phone # is 706-216-2800. Ken (24 years ago, 12-Aug-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Ahhhh, got a visored-helm here with me (shopping spree with the stuff still in the car). Kind of a hulking look, but that's okay.      X-Acto sells a #13 micro saw blade that might work well for this application. I bet you can find it at a hardware store or a well-stocked model/train store. ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (24 years ago, 16-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle)

         Re: Body Armor —Bruce Schlickbernd
(...) I tried saw blades years ago, and I found them on the useless side for this type of work.
