Hey Anthony.
Like others have said before, ignore comments that are coming from a place
of ignorance. So many people feel they have a right to just break down
something just because they can. Their comments are meant to make themselves
feel superior because they try to make you feel inferior. But remember,
there are always more critics than artists.. and it is the artists that
matter in the long run.
Having said that, I had a writing professor in college, who, whenever you
brought something to him, he'd tell you something was wrong with it. no
matter what, no matter how good, he'd find what could be better - where you
weaknesses are. but he'd also tell you what to do to make it better, skills
or things to keep in mind in the writing/revising process.
now, i'm a fan of the chronicles, but i also see things that could use work.
i'm not the best writer myself (and not much of one, volumn-wise, either).
but the chronicles are getting better over time, IMO, and that means something.
SO, ignore the random negativity that the internet often brings, and listen
to your friends here at lugnet. we give good positive criticism (both what
you did well, and where to improve), and more importantly, we ENJOY the
chronicles immeansely!!
