  Some new stuff...

Hey y'all, I've been pretty much caught-up in a frenzy of various things going-on in my life, so...hence the absence since July or August (not that anyone noticed...*sniffle*...the curse of being a former lurker). Anyway, I've got a swarm of new (...) (20 years ago, 3-Jan-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: SOB Tapestry Shop for CCC2

Hey, Excedllent work. The detail is lovely. It is a little "potterish" for my taste but just jumps the hurdle into true castle : ) Thanks for sharing and God Bless, Nathan (20 years ago, 1-Jan-05, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: SOB Tapestry Shop for CCC2

(...) Ha ha! I'd always wanted to do this sort of thinner slate-style of stonework (studs up or down). I'm glad to hear that it had the stealth effect I had hoped for. I like turning a concept on its head. (And, no it didn't have anything to do with (...) (20 years ago, 1-Jan-05, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: SOB Tapestry Shop for CCC2

(...) Hi Samarth, So, you're a Lego guy then. Me too. Thank you so much for your kind words. This was a fun challenge to build, I'm glad you liked it. Indeed, this is one of the places where the new greys would have worked alongside the old. Woody (...) (20 years ago, 31-Dec-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: SOB Tapestry Shop for CCC2

(...) That's awesome! The stonework initially caught my attention, and only when I noticed the quill stuck in the upside-down cone and followed it all the way down did I realize the entire structure was upside-down. Or right-side-up with upside-down (...) (20 years ago, 30-Dec-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: SOB Tapestry Shop for CCC2

SNIPPY Hi Ley, I'm not a castle guy, but this MOC is really neat and appeals to me. I like the use of boat bottoms on the interior, the SOB makes the whole thing work out perfect! good job. I can almost smell the musty-cosy-woody inside! :-d great (...) (20 years ago, 30-Dec-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Contest Entries for CCC2

(...) What a fabulous MOC! I really like the overall look of this, and you've captured the head especially well. One question: are those yeti pushing the legs from the back? Can't quite tell from the photo. Peter (20 years ago, 30-Dec-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.town, FTX)

The Gargoyle Spreads His Wings: CCC Vignette

Re: Knight's Kingdom Large Figures - Different Set Numbers

(...) My brother bought me 8786 in Tenerife... the other difference is that the tower package it comes in is significantly larger (about 1.5" taller) than the US version. Peter (20 years ago, 30-Dec-04, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Whaty ever happened to Craigo?

Bump. I've been wondering this too, so I'll add my name to the list of curious. I just went out and bought some enamel paints and Brasso, but it's always nice to see others work for inspiration! plucky (...) (20 years ago, 29-Dec-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: 2005 Castle sets

(...) Thanks for posting this! It looks like a scheme by lego to get all the non-new-grey users like me involved in castle again (please note this is ironic I am not actually scheming about lego, it's motives, or accusing them of anything... : ) So (...)   Re: 2005 Castle sets

(...) Hey, I like the Shadow Knights too, mostly because of their cool helms. One thing I don't like about these sets is the new buzz-saw style siege weapon in the black castle. i also appreciate the return of old style shields, though I had no (...)   2005 Castle sets

  Re: MOC: Half-timbered house

(...) Wonderful! Without being unappreciative of the rounded towers I really liked the castle shield at the bottom of the tudor level; it was nice to see them look so small. The whole thing was, of course, amazing! Great work, God Bless, Nathan (20 years ago, 18-Dec-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: MOC: Half-timbered house

(...) Wow. The scale of this project is amazing. You really nailed the real life building as well. I like the layered arches and the turrets. I'm jealous of your window collection, some of those sizes are near impossible to find. The sheep in the (...) (20 years ago, 17-Dec-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle, lugnet.town, FTX)

  Whaty ever happened to Craigo?

Hello! I was talking to some friends about the incredible custom work that people have done with Lego minifigs. I was trying to find Craigo's site to show them, but it looks like it's gone. I can't even find a post from him in the last couple of (...) (20 years ago, 16-Dec-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Cycloplin: a one-man airship

(...) Nice job, Kevin. I've never seen one one these modeled in Lego before. Where did you get the idea? Somehow, the movie Waterworld comes to mind. My favorite detail is the wizard's hat. I guess it wasn't necessary for TLC to make a one-piece (...) (20 years ago, 12-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Cycloplin: a one-man airship

(...) Lots to like there in a very small space. It's like an "air vignette"! I think my fave part is the wizard's hat. We get so used to using the cast hat that we all forget that there are other ways to make it! That's pretty clever. Are the rubber (...)   Re: Cycloplin: a one-man airship

  Cycloplin: a one-man airship

Hello. I made a one-man airship. The person peddles to make the flap-dealies move, causing the whole thing to move. I used Bruce Lowells sphere.
