Nice job, Kevin. Ive never seen one one these modeled in Lego before.
Where did you get the idea? Somehow, the movie Waterworld comes to mind.
My favorite detail is the wizards hat. I guess it wasnt necessary for TLC
to make a one-piece pointed minifig hat after all! Using the rubber band as
a hatband is perfect.
Cheers,

Thanks John. I got the idea half from my imagination, half from the Christmas
display in Tower City (Cleveland)
About the hat, the credit for that should go to Kevin Heckel,
floating-rock-builder extraordinaire. You can see more at the following URLS:

Awesomeness. This airship fills me with joy.
Some suggestions: maybe make a thin rudder clipped onto that broom part? It
doesnt desperately need one or anything, I just like rudders. Also, do you
have any of those flags in green? I think another color or two would do it
some good.
|
|
Thanks, fellow Kevin! I figured the wizard had a mechanism to stop either
flap-dealie, so as to turn. However, you idea of green flags sounds like a good
one, I shall have to try it.

Lots to like there in a very small space. Its like an air vignette!

|
Haha, cool: A whole new subgenre!

I think my fave part is the wizards hat. We get so used to using the cast
hat that we all forget that there are other ways to make it! Thats pretty
clever. Are the rubber bands between the cone and the dish just decorative
|
|
|
or do they have to be there?
|
|
|
|
|
|
They look a lot better with rubberbands, it smoothes out what would be an out
looking connect, given the inset bottom of the cone.

This one almost seems like (with a lot bigger balloon and a calm day, or
perhaps on a planet with lighter gravity but a denser atmosphere) it might
work with no magic needed.
|
|
|
|
No magic required, just some gas with a ridiculously low density and really
light wood ;) And yeah, low gravity might help too, but then the wizards
grandfather clock would be off!

Patches! Beautiful!
Man, I am so loving these medieval-tech style MOCs - I must now make

Haha, thanks Mr. Bobenny. I do hope ever so much that you will make one to call
your own. The patches were alot of fun to make, its an interesting sphere,
trying to make realistic patches was an enjoyable challenge.

Hey Kevin,
Great MOC! You should consider entering this in the Da Vinci
category in the Colossal Castle Contest on Classic-Castle.com.
