Re: OMR Planning - Almost There

(...) Doh! Yep, I did :) (...) The fopaw (sp?) of registering for posting hit me about 5 minutes later when I re-read my post. You propose a good solution. (...) That *could* be described in the Creation/Submission Rules pages. (...) We could make (...) (25 years ago, 18-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: OMR Planning - Almost There

(...) I think that your list just about what I can think of as necessary plus this - If the piece is not available(for patterned parts see #4) a comment must be added in its place stating what piece should go there(piece number preferred if it is (...)   Re: OMR Planning - Almost There

(...) I believe you mean lugnet.cad.models.sets (...) One problem I foresee is that you are required to register in order to post. One way this could be solved would be to register ldraw.org as a valid poster, and then post the messages from an (...) (25 years ago, 18-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  OMR Planning - Almost There

Ryan, Jeff, Todd, etc. I just unearthed an old unfinished project of mine - the OMR Model Creation/Submission guide for ldraw.org. Now I see that we were much further along than I thought we were. Some things that need to be finalized are: Model (...) (25 years ago, 18-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: LDraw DAT certification for clones?

(...) ?? (...) I agree. It looks to me that the article could be edited for clarity and layout. Someone with better knowledge of the DAT file than me want to do that? Either I or someone else can put it in the ldraw.org page format, the template is (...) (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: What is the IP for ldraw.org?

(...) ...Cool! :-, I've needed this functionality on my NT box for a *long* time, and it never occurred to me that MS could've gotten this one right. ;-) Thanks! Cheers, - jsproat (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: What is the IP for ldraw.org?

(...) In Windows, looks for the hosts file in the main Windows directory. If it isn't there, create one. If you use Notepad, be sure it doesn't change the filename to hosts.txt when you save it. Steve (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: LDraw DAT certification for clones?

(...) Question #20. I don't about "official", but I have some other words to describe it... That article (question 20) is too large for the FAQ, and should be broken out as a separate item/page on the website. (...) Seems like the best way to go (...)   Re: What is the IP for ldraw.org?

(...) Thanks for the fix but I am on a windows box which does not have an etc folder. I have e-mailed tech support and will see what happens. -- Jonathan Wilson wilsonj@xoommail.com (URL) (25 years ago, 16-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: What is the IP for ldraw.org?

Jonathan: (...) For a temporary fix, append the following line to "/etc/hosts" (that's the name of the file in Unix): 130.226.51.217 hugin.risoe.dk www.ldraw.org That way your machine will skip looking www.ldraw.org up through DNS. Play well, Jacob (...) (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: What is the IP for ldraw.org?

Re: What is the IP for ldraw.org?

(...) % host www.ldraw.org www.ldraw.org has address 130.226.51.217 However, (URL) seems to send out an HTTP "Location:" header which redirects to (URL). --Todd (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: What is the IP for ldraw.org?

Jonathan: (...) You don't need "the IP", you need the machines IP _number_. It's 130.226.51.217. Play well, Jacob ---...--- -- E-mail: sparre@cats.nbi.dk -- -- Web...: <URL:(URL) -- ---...--- (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

What is the IP for ldraw.org?

I need to know the IP for ldraw.org. I cant get through to it because my ISP's dns server cant find it. -- Jonathan Wilson wilsonj@xoommail.com (URL) (25 years ago, 16-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: LDraw DAT certification for clones?

Tim: (...) Yes. The FAQ contains something that is supposed to be a description of the LDraw language. I don't know if people consider it "official". (...) Yes.   Re: What is 'LDraw?'

Can we pick one newsgroup for this discussion? Please? (...) I don't see much of a need for this, other than saying programs can claim they are "LDraw Compatible". (...) Nah. Steve (25 years ago, 14-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  LDraw DAT certification for clones?

Say, has anyone considered LDraw DAT file certification for clones? (I don't mean clone brands of LEGO bricks, I mean clone software of LDraw/LEdit/etc.) Some random thoughts... ldraw.org could maintain the official definition of the LDraw DAT file (...)
