Howdy! I've got a minor problem, and I'd like to hear your thoughts on it. As you may know, I recently encoded a few DAT files for some minifig head patterns, including some from the Star Wars theme. In the past, the NAME we'd give a DAT file for a (...) (24 years ago, 29-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

I have a funny problem that occurs sometimes if I am rendering with POV-RAY in the background and working on MLCAD in the foreground. When I do specific things in MLCAD (the most frequent thing is to pull-down the combo box on the parts selection (...) (24 years ago, 26-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) It's the large fonts. I changed the window so that it is a static size, but it appears font sizes are causing a problem. Someone else mentioned this in a direct email. (...) Actually yes, and it's simple enough. Go into the .l3A (using notepad, ultra-edit, etc) and append: ",0,7" to the last line of the file. Save the file and it should work just fine. Version 1.2.5 is up. I added a (much-requested) command line textbox that shows the output before it is sent to L3P. (...) I'd rather not encode file-nameish data into the file-extension. That feels like a bad thing to do -- extensions indicate the *type* of file, not the specific file. (...) Yes. As long as you specify the extension, LDraw doesn't care what it is. LEdit might be a different story, I don't know. (...) Don't use MAKELIST, it can't handle more than 1000 parts. Use MKLIST instead. And MKLIST indexes every file in the (...) (24 years ago, 19-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Hey gang, For a while now I've wanted a way to sort the entries in a .DAT file according to X-Y-Z coordinates, that way after I build a file in MLCad I can sort the elements so they're in an order much like original LEGO instructions (bottom to top, (...) While not directly related, I've found that, while using subparts from the parts\s directory, the names will be truncated if they're more than 8 characters long and therefore won't render in LEdit or LDraw.
