I never worried. But I had some insider insight. ;) I realize 2001 was
a very dry time (partswise) for many people.

I totally understand, and I somewhat agree with you. Mostly because
it's the brand-new parts that a lot of people are looking for.
But the situation right now is this: there are a *ton* of files on the
PT, way more than is really manageable. We need to reduce the number of
unofficial files. That means we (meaning reviewers and especially
admins) need to focus (to some extent) on the 'low-hanging fruit', files
that are easy to review, so they can be released and taken off our
plates. Patterned parts are easy to review, once the pattern codes are
set. The 59 minifig body parts in the 2002-04 release are made from 88
files. Those 88 files were nearly 10% of all the files on the PT.
Having a list that's 10% shorter is a good thing, from my vantage point.
