I never worried.  But I had some insider insight. ;)  I realize 2001 was
a very dry time (partswise) for many people.

However, what I would like to see is the part reviewers to concentrate on
"important" new parts, meaning sloped/wedged elements and such! Nothing
wrong with a dozen of new Minifig-torsos, but frankly I don't need them that
urgent. A lot of people would rather like to have the new canopies and
slopes, new parts that came out with the current product line. The parts ARE
there at the tracker, at least most of them, they just have to be reviewed
and, if they don't meet the high standards, improved as fast as possible.

I totally understand, and I somewhat agree with you.  Mostly because
it's the brand-new parts that a lot of people are looking for.

But the situation right now is this:  there are a *ton* of files on the
PT, way more than is really manageable.  We need to reduce the number of
unofficial files.  That means we (meaning reviewers and especially
admins) need to focus (to some extent) on the 'low-hanging fruit', files
that are easy to review, so they can be released and taken off our
plates.  Patterned parts are easy to review, once the pattern codes are
set.  The 59 minifig body parts in the 2002-04 release are made from 88
files.  Those 88 files were nearly 10% of all the files on the PT.
Having a list that's 10% shorter is a good thing, from my vantage point.
