Hmm. The gold looks the best, I think it's at least partly because we
can establish a color value for gold that is distinct from the standard
yellow. The electric contact is second-best, IMO. I just couldn't see
enough difference between the chrome and white.
Could you try rendering a dark gray with the 'specular enhancements'?
Try using RGB 635F52.
Of course (did I mention this before?) once we get better rendering of
'metallic' elements, we'll have to revisit the color codes, and split
out 'plated chrome' from 'printed silver' from 'embedded silver' ...
