Finally I render the part in Pov-ray (via L3DAO) to
check the part for gaps (where planes dont meet creating a black line) and
if the studlogos is turning the right way.

How imported is the orrientation of the studlogos?
Should these face exactly the same direction as the real part?
Or do they just have to be readable (thus not mirrored) and all studlogos on
one part face the same direction (unless the real part has studlogos facing
different directions?
I have seen a few files on the PT with the studlogos rotated 90 or 180
degrees compared with the real part.

Since stud logos are not part of the DAT format, the fact that they are
rotated or mirrored is not a problem with a part. That said, since most
users like to use the stud logo option for some renders, if problems with the
stud logos are noticed it should probably be noted in the review. However,
these problems alone are not cause for a hold vote. If you cant bring
yourself to certify, thats what novote is for.

Yes - these kind of errors are not a cause for a hold.
Im with Orion on stud rotation, but Id prefer not to have parts/subparts
designed in a way that causes mirrored studs. We have set a precedent with car
doors, by moving the stud from the mirror-able subpart into each main part file.
Id like to use a similar concept for new parts that have mirror imaged
versions.
