There's already been a lot of discussion on doing "clickable" building using an
additional connection database, and that's certainly doable. Do a search for
LCD, or LDraw Connection Database, or see here:

What I was saying is that there's no easy way to do it purely based on the
geometry.

| (...) Center point/axis matching? If you know the center axis of a stud and the center axis of a place where a stud can be inserted, they should be able to "lock" together a lot easier than the side surfaces. Same thing for the center point of a (...) (20 years ago, 15-Aug-04, to lugnet.cad)
