Re: Stereograms of my Space and Vignette MOCs

(...) LDView doesn't support orthagonal cameras at all, actually. It supports camera angles as small as 0.1 degrees, which end up looking really close to orthagonal, but it doesn't support orthagonal cameras. I'm assuming Jeffery's original images (...) I have POV-Ray v3.6, but to be honest, I haven't spent much time using it - I get LPub to do it for me. I should learn it. Could you get me a (...) (18 years ago, 10-May-06, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

You'll find them saved at /Users/yourname/Libr....crash.log Just e-mail me that log file; it can provide valuable clues about what is going wrong. Since I haven't seen crashing myself, I need (...)   Re: Stereograms of my Space and Vignette MOCs

(...) And this is what I would like to see some exploration on...what would it look like to see a train lineup as a minifig? Or spacecraft? Tim, your subway stations would be great places to try this! Joe (18 years ago, 9-May-06, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Stereograms of my Space and Vignette MOCs

moved to lugnet.cad (...) Hi Jeffrey, I was just trying to render it in 3D such that it would look right if the viewer was a minifig standing on the ground plane. I'm not sure you could replicate it in LDView as it used non-orthogonal cameras. It is (...) (18 years ago, 9-May-06, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: LEGO Factory Updated

(...) This is all very promising. There seems to be significant gaps in the available parts, but the conversion from .ldr to LDD format was really quite fast and painless. The creating sets for downloading and buying aside, is it possible to set it (...) (18 years ago, 9-May-06, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: LEGO Factory Updated

(...) Yah, I figured that out, but it seems there are some parts from the My Trains pallete which are not available... Also, is there anyway to get a part inventory for your current design? --Bram (18 years ago, 9-May-06, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LEGO Factory Updated

(...) You can do that as well, when you are saving the model in LDD just add .ldr to the end of the model name and it will export as an ldraw file instead of saving in lxf. -- Marc Sutton Lead Programmer LEGO Digital Designer (18 years ago, 9-May-06, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: LEGO Factory Updated

(...) This is great (and surprising) news and I'd like to help ensure that LDD and LDraw continue to be able to inter-operate. I won't be able to install the new version of LDD until the weekend, but am excited by the prospect. Chris Dee (speaking (...) (18 years ago, 9-May-06, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: LEGO Factory Updated

  Re: LEGO Factory Updated

(...) I must have been reading this wrong, because I was looking for something that would send my LDD .lxf file to LDraw/MLCAD, not import an LDraw file into LDD. But this is cool too, and it works: (URL) Well look at that. Almost whole. He just (...) (18 years ago, 9-May-06, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: LEGO Factory Updated

(...) Excellent! I ran into a few issues, but for the most part, it seems to work! Will definitely make it easier to design models being able to switch between formats. Now if only there were some way to mark which parts are actually available for (...) (18 years ago, 9-May-06, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LEGO Factory Updated

(...) Just drop your ldraw models into your "My Documents/LEGO Creations/Models" directory and then open LDD and click on the model in the open dialog (it will have a yellow brick as an icon).   Re: LEGO Factory Updated

(...) Actually even if you did have a 16MB video card, LDD still wouldn't run on it. The system requirements say 16MB, but LDD requires more. I've always found this ironic since LEGO Creator was so much more advanced that LDD, and yet it could run (...) (18 years ago, 8-May-06, to lugnet.cad, FTX)
