  Re: Renderer Questions

(...) I recommend "LEGO Software Power Tools", I know the guys that wrote it. :^) (...) LPub guarantees the consistant scale, not L3P or POV-Ray. Without LPub the images always fill the window (L3P), so the scale would constantly change. L3P does (...) (20 years ago, 28-Oct-04, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: Partsref DAT download problems?

(...) Something like that. I was saying more on the basis that if you're already involving Peeron in your search process, there's no point in using that information to hunt the parts down in another database when Peeron already provides direct links (...)   Re: Partsref DAT download problems?

(...) I've scratched my head about this as well, but I suppose Parts Tracker is just for unoffical files. To get an offical DAT file, you can just type a URL into your browser (substituting the correct part number, of course): (URL) This is (...) (20 years ago, 28-Oct-04, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Partsref DAT download problems?

(...) So... You're saying the solution to my problem is just don't use Partsref at all? "Doctor Doctor it hurts when I do this?" I'm trying to figure out if this link problem a real problem, or just something funky with our systems? Darrell (20 years ago, 28-Oct-04, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Problem creating .pov using LGEO parts in L3PAdd-on

(...) the problem is that LGEO doesn't use the same origin - at least with the libraries I have installed. So, to fix it, add the following directive at lines 159 and 308 of the LGEO file lg_6187.inc: translate <0, 0, -2*LG_BRICK_WIDTH> (...) I had (...) (20 years ago, 28-Oct-04, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  3723 (LEGO minifigure)  [DAT]

I have FINALLY finished modelling my giant minifigure in MLCad :D It only took about 6-7 hours! (Only 3 for the real one :) I can see it in all its glory (With the MPD file) at: (URL) All the arms, hands and head rotate around the correct points so (...)   Re: Renderer Questions

(...) The thing is, I lost all the files associated with creating those instructions, so I have no record of the exact settings. I've got another model almost ready for instructionfying. I'll let you know when I find them myself. I recommend (...) (20 years ago, 27-Oct-04, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Problem creating .pov using LGEO parts in L3PAdd-on

(...) a quick fix for that is to create a subpart for your model, with just the bar in it, then inline. that was part (bar 1 x 4) is really named something different.. when it goes thru l3p, it doesnt use the lgeo part. (20 years ago, 27-Oct-04, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Partsref DAT download problems?

(...) Okay, if you've found it on Peeron, you should be able to tell right away if an official DAT exists because it will be linked right below the part description line, and it will have an LDraw image of the part displayed on the right. (...) (...) (20 years ago, 27-Oct-04, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Part search

(...) No, I don't mean coming up with a new description for it. I just want it to stack with the rest of the 2x2 plates in the part tree instead of ending up at the very bottom of the list after the 10x10 plates. There's no logical reason why it (...)   Convergence--Renderer Questions and L3P/LGEO issues

  Re: Renderer Questions

  Partsref DAT download problems?

Hi, can't seem to get this answered privately, so I'll try here... :) I don't know if it's just me, but I have a couple of problems using Partsref. Many times in my CAD class, I will have a student who either has a physical part in his/her hand and (...) (20 years ago, 27-Oct-04, to lugnet.cad)

Sir Bugge's lego page finally gone public! - Space, parts, sculpture and techniques!

After a long delay while fighting my father’s webhost to get them to support statistics on subdomains (since January), here it is with crappy statistics from nedstat instead. At last!
