RE: I have a new idea and a new animation

(...) Using the DivX codec, you can make a feature length movie with stereo sound at DVD resolution fit onto a single CD. ...But you won't be able to play it on a standalone DVD player. Many DVD players can, however play VCDs or SVCDs. VCD and SVCD (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Some castle scenes...

Greetings to one and all. I've been making some scenes lately, and I was wondering if I could get your feedback on these two: (URL) one note about the "atk.jpg" one. It is a picture of a "keep" that I made a while ago, but didn't think it was good (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jan-02, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.cad.dat.scenes)

Re: I have a new idea and a new animation

I know nada about DVD, except for my PlayStation 2 can handle DVD movies. What you say, does it mean that I am able to make *gulp* DVD films (max 640 Mb) on my PC (I know, rendering will take at least two eternities)? /Tore (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Proposal: New Parts Category for round parts

(...) IMHO we should try to describe parts as genericly (sp?) as possible regardless of the obvious or how LEGO has used it in any particular set(s). There's always some imaginative builder who can use a part in a way nobody thought of before. Let's (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

I have a new idea and a new animation

Hello to all, Since I got my DVD player I have being learning about making video for VCD, SVCD and MINIDVD. So I was thinking to start rendering my LEGO animation in a resolution for: VCD SVCD MINIDVD or DVD the same. If anyone wants to make there (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Proposal: New Parts Category for round parts

(...) It comes from this: (URL) from the 1x4 and 1x3 versions, the term expanded. I've been using the term almost as long as James did, if not longer, because of those set names. It IS a term that came from TLG (TLC), but not necessarily from the (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Proposal: New Parts Category for round parts / Beams & bricks

(...) This is very interesting! In the light of this information, I would suggest that the non-liftarms in the liftarm part category get renamed to "beam", "beam angular/angled" and "halfbeam", respectively. The parts that are liftarms can still be (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Proposal: New Parts Category for round parts / Beams & bricks

My two euro-cents... In Ultimate Builder set (3800), Lego provides an inventory with names... might be a source of inspiration ? - Technic bricks with holes are refered as "Technic bricks" - smooth bricks as "Beams", angled ones as "Technic angular (...)   Re: Ldraw and Ledit in windows xp?

Could it be a video board and/or video driver problem ? I doubt it could be a wrong XP. I'll try monday (at work... no XP at home !) on another machine. Philo (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Ldraw and Ledit in windows xp?

(...) I got a 1.1 ghz Celeron with 384 megs of ram. When I double click on the Leocad icon nothing happens. The program doesn't run, it just sits there. When I put it in an incorect directory though it did gripe about not having the parts library. (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: New "dark red" in MLCAD/POV-Ray?

(...) Wow, you're right. That was a bad choice. Take a look at the color chart I posted in (URL), and see if there's anything you like there. Especially check colors 320 through 335 - these are all dithers with red. Color 320 (red+black) looks (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Instructions for Mobile Message Decoder

Re: x191 & x192 part in the Parts tracker

(...) Hi Steve, A question for the top & bottom part: Must the top & bottom part be 100 percent accurate? I mean the sides that aren't visible when using it as an assembled piece? I have alreddy 2 parts, but they need some more work if they need to (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: LDRAW crash  [DAT]

Re: Proposal: New Parts Category for round parts

(...) Great, I was mostly just testing the grounds. I wouldn't actually vote for a solution like this. (...) While this idea would unify many elements, I don't think it's a good one.
