Hi Jacob,
I Think you are 100 percent right.
First of all, it wasn't LDRAW that crashed, but it was LEDIT. Sorry abouth
that :-(
I guess i found the problem causing LEDIT to crach.
Perhaps this is alreddy known by other people, but it seems to be that LEDIT
doesn't support files longer than 1000 lines. As soon as there are 1001
lines, LEDIT crashes ( well it gives a RUNTIME ERROR 216 at ....:....).
The last lines code from the part i'm writing goes as follows:
0 tussenstuk
4 16 -53.75 -3.50 17.25 -53.75 -3.50 -17.25 -53.75 -11 -17.25 -53.75 -11 17.25
0 uiteinde center stuk 1
4 16 -53.75 -3.50 38.00 -53.75 -3.50 32.25 -53.75 -11 32.25 -53.75 -11 38.00
4 16 -46.75 -3.50 38.00 -46.75 -3.50 32.25 -46.75 -11 32.25 -46.75 -11 38.00
These are the lines 996 -> 1000.
As soon that i add 1 more line (i placed a 0 (zero)), LEDIT generates the
above runtime error.
Perhaps that someone can add this to the 'LDRAW / LEDIT Tutorial'
This means that i have to break-up my part in smaler pieces, if i want to
use LEDIT for my new part i'm creating (9V Track cross #32087).
BTW : LDRAW does not crash, witch is positive.
Regards,
Ludo

| (...) That is a known problem with LEdit. Jacob, thanks for adding this to the FAQ. (...) I'm not sure of your exact meaning here, so I'm answering both possible meanings: Yes, if you want to *edit* your part in LEdit, you will need to break it up. (...)
