Re: elimination of theme categories - Space (pt. 1)

Keywords... ;-) When looking for a part, and you don't know what it's called, but you *do* know a set it's used in and/or what purpose it serves, hop over to the PartsRef ("(URL) use the Keyword search. I have used this numerous times to find parts (...) (24 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: elimination of theme categories - Space (pt. 1)

Out of morbid curiosity and the never ending pursuit of opening myself up for attacks, I would like to pose/offer a question or idea. I will state up front that my only experience with finding parts is via the MLCAD interface. So anything I saw can (...) (24 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Question about MLCAD colors

(...) The edge colours are also posted in the LDraw FAQ, I think. I'm pretty sure the list has been posted once or twice to lugnet.cad.dev, where the poster has a copy of the LDraw source code. Steve (24 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: LDraw color codes needed for rendering program

(...) The LDraw FAQ is the definitive list. (...) Way cool. We can never have too many Lego CAD programs. (...) (oops-the RGB for #5 is in the list) I'd look to Suzanne's excellent chart at (URL) for RGB values that aren't listed in the LDraw FAQ. (...) (24 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: elimination of theme categories - Castle

(...) Fair 'nuff. Anything I can do to help with that? (...) Agreed. (...) I can't afford to do that, I don't have the hair to spare. ;-) (...) OK. Franklin (24 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: elimination of theme categories - Castle

Franklin, Thanks for looking into this, but I want to put off making major changes in the library organization until *after* we've got a good tracking system implemented on the server. These kind of changes are important. I spend a lot of time (...) (24 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Torus primitive discussion. was( Updated Primitive - 1-8t0102 1/8 torus)

(...) Because I was thinking that each section covered 90-degrees of the major circle. Otherwise, they'd be named 16t*0301.dat, since each is 1/16 of a complete torus. (I suppose they could be described as 1/8 of an inner (or outer) torus, but I (...) (24 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

  Re: Question about MLCAD colors

Good question - currently MLCad does not support changing the edge color - but it should do ... I've got the color definitions from the LDLite source code. I must admit, that I never asked about the edge colors. I have no idea from where they are (...) (24 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

OK, now that someone else has confirmed that this part was introduced with the Sting Rays ("(URL) of the Aquazone theme, I'd suggest that you rename the description as follows: "Tile 1 x 2 - StingRay Control Panel (needs work)" As far as the pattern (...)   LDraw color codes needed for rendering program

Hello, Over a year ago, I mentioned on this list that I was considering making a new Lego CAD program for Windows and Linux, but until now I've been really pressed for time. This weekend I finally resumed the project and got the rendering engine (...) (24 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) [shrug] I don't know, either. How about posting an enlarged image of this part to BrickShelf, and then posting a message to ".space" with the URL of this image, asking the space-guys for a positive identification? That's what I'd do. Franklin (24 years ago, 7-Jan-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
