Bryce - could you add a picture of a closeup of agiels head for us? I
really like it, but I want moore...

Eric - I think the Cubs face puts me very much in mind of the
Transformers autobot look, it is different from your other mecha's
faces - which always seemed (if you dont mind the crit) a little
strangely shaped to me. I note you are still haveing fun with
photoshop. One of these days, you are gonna have to do some photoshop
+ stop motion with a mecha to show off its posability in a small
clip...I think the colour scheme really does give the impression of
utilitarian miltitary gear, beyond the few bits of trans-green, which
show up well.

The bulky should joint covers give the impression of bulk and well
armoured, while the thin waistline gives the impression of agility.
The feet look good, but possibly a little too small to support the
bulk of the mech properly. I cant help but wander if a little more
armour overlap over the click hinges for the toe caps would improve
the look a little.

I find the strange doubled tube look of the fingers appealing, and the
hands really look the part, plus that looks like a very posable (and
opposable) thumb! What is that between the /other/ two 1x1 on the
thumb - between the clip parts with a concave surface?

The body cavity for the pilot is nice - it would be great if there was
an upper flap which hung over. The brain case is kind of cool.

Anyway - I like it that you provided a nice big desktop sized pic, and
I am making it my work desktop for now... Keep it up Eric.

You spent the night with Agiel!!!???  ;-)

Oh yes, and the lone light in the room, dimly lit, made it all the more
fearsome.

all, or most,
of your mecha are built in a single color, with generally the same set of
proportions, and vary mostly in minor details. seen one, seen 'em all? no,
but if you've seen one you have a good idea of what to expect. This model
breaks that mold, and I like that.

I would add only that the patented "Sophie Head" (angular hexagonal look)
tends to make many creations "look" the same. Often even with vastly
different bodies.

Ever since I built this; <http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=5108
Black Robot>.¬ I tried to make the heads look cool from any angle you viewed
it.
Because, with the black robot, when you look at the model it was flat looking
from the front.¬ Only when you at the robot from a 3/4 view did the model come
alive. A lesson I tried to learn from.

Each head I do now is me, trying to make the head so it looks good from all
angles. I guess. Plus its fun to build stuff that hinges and links up with
other
hinges naturally. Finding those connections is what I thought was fun. Comming
up with strange combinations.

Just a building note, thought I'd mention it.

Hey this is almost starting to feel like the OLD .mecha with actual mecha
talk mixed with banter and inside jokes.

Kiiiiiyaaaaaaaaaaa, psshh pshhh peooww poewweewww, (my jump jets fire a pulse,
I
touch down softly).
