  New Mindstorms MOC
 
Here are some pictures of a new Mindstorms MOC. It is a real creation I made that uses the light sensor and the IR port for proximity detection. (...) It's complex but not undoable. Several people/orgs have done it. The "old" (1) "main" (2) GMLTC layout had a turntable as well. Mindstorms actuated/animated. thanks for the tips, i tried attaching to the body of the technic man but as there are no connector on the torso life was hard. 3 failed attempts and i headed down the path of a technic fig mech that has a cockpit instead. my mech (first ever too) (...) That was great! After watching it about 3 1/2 times it keeps getting better. By far the best part was when the guy in "LEGO Today" saw his brick and it was a burp and he frowned! That was great! The colors are from various kinds of adhesive tapes, and they could all be removed without harming the bricks (if for some reason he decided he needed to do that...) I've seen a few of (...) Chris, Thanks for pulling this old message. To clarify my ground rules... 1. No painting. A lot of the value in a Lego element is compromised if it can't be reused as originally intended. There is a dark brown column in 5804, blue column in 5825, dark pink in 5805, plus a number of white columns in the large palace 5808. Earlier Belville had them in (...) Try the Adventurers' car hubs. They're spoked the entire way around and are the same size as the Technic hubs you described. Only problem is that they might not look "Spacey," they're a bit old fashioned looking. (24 years ago, 31-Dec-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

Are there any other wheel alternatives to "Centre Large" part #3482 (according to Brickbay) i.e. a 2x2 hub no wider than 1 stud. This MOC is a departure for me in a couple of ways. Normally, I build trains and train related stuff. After having been to LLC this past summer, I became inspired to create a building that had miniland detail in it, but was minifig scale. So I built (...)
