Henry, Thanks for coming by to see my Eiffel Tower in person and for posting the message on Lugnet. The round plates where necessary because the width of the tower changes from an even number to an odd number, back to even and then odd. I had hoped (...) Eric Brok made excellent and creative use of the UFO pieces which lots of people shamelessly copied later (me included... need more UFO hulls...) Check them out, under 'buildings' (...) When the UFO stuff first came out, I scoffed at them (because I'm more into town than space). However, I decided that I wanted to build a merry-go-round and the circular pieces would make a good top. The pumpkin graphics used in the contest site were made with Photoshop trickery. No minifig head were painted to make the contest graphics. I think Brian Nelson's entry had a pumpkin he made that was fairly elegant. Two side notes..... One: I built (...) One of the medical staff in my Launch Command scenario has this head with brown shoulder-length hair. It gives her a 'professionally-styled' look, and differentiates her from the legion of smileys. Rick Nice pictures. And thanks for letting me see this cool model firsthand. It's a brilliant use of stacked 1x1s. Thanks a lot Jeremy. This model was actually first designed on paper and then made. I'm really happy how it turned. What amazes me the most about your models is the way you incorporate the minifigs in them and still have the models look nicely scaled.
