These are the preliminary structures to be found within my imaginary world, called Caerany (the people are Caers). first a note about 'caer'. the word can be traced to 'cairn' which means a stoen structure or fortress. These are 2 Tohungas I got at McD's. I wasn't really into the bendy throwing arms so I decided to convert them to Turagas. (URL) built the standard Turaga bodies but used the feet from the Mcdonald's toys. I also swapped out the mask on the blue one (...) I draw my inspiration from a variety of sources: Legs & Torso - Gundam Rail-Gun, Belt & Ammo Drum - Metal Gear Solid Missile Covers - Armoured Core 2 I occassionally watch anime, and read gaming magazines. Well, as to how you've dunnit again, I'm pretty clueless, but nonentheless, there are great ideas in this mech. Specifically, the concealed shoulder mounts are nice (concealed weapons are always cool) and rail guns are also always cool, but with the (...) (23 years ago, 9-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Ohh man! I like! Now, on my monitor, the red looks _very_ pink, which actually works for me. Not Belville pink, but dark rose. Love that shoulder mount, and the missile bays in the shoulders. Thanks a lot Bryce! Ever since my "Archer" mecha I've been dying to use dark grey again on a new mecha. The red and grey came as a result of necessity, since a lot of my "cool" elements/pieces are in those two colours. ;-) Oh, and I'm glad you like (...) Yes, it resembles Dinotopia pretty much. (I have the book "Dinotopia", that is one of my sources of inspiration for this) The link martin gave me shows pretty much what I had in mind -though my minifigs would look more like the forestmen. --Tobias (...) I've always thought the dinosaur sets were crap, big dinosaurs and nothing more. But now, I see that you can fit bricks on their backs, which gave me an idea.
