Muhahahaha, perfect!

I do have a (gasp!) non-electronic reference that SHOULD have
it (in short, if it doesn't, nothing this side of the German
  naval archives will):

Harald Fock, _Fast Fighting Boats 1870-1945: Their Design,
Construction, and Use_ (Wash DC: Naval Institute Press, 1978)

(Someone on Amazon has a used copy up for $35, but check my
  note below.)

Hmmm, seems I happened to log into Amazon.com and click that little button that
says "add to cart".  How'd that happen?  Seems I don't need much of an excuse
to order books.

Lindsay, you're going to breka me though ... this week alone I've picked up
_Warplanes of the Third Reich_ and now _Fast Fighting Boats ..._.  Keep it up
and all my money will be sunk into paper pulp products, not petroleum
distillates, leaving my ship drydocked for a long time to come ;)

We can't have that.  I'll jump on the interpretation grenade!
(Or is that interpretive dance on the interpretative grenade?)

My Hero!  ;)

  I can probably get
it on interlibrary loan, photocopy the relevant pages, and
serve as your conduit that way.  But I'd rather you got it,
because I'm a lazy cuss, as you can tell.  ;)

As am I - it was so much easier to let VISA do the walking ....

Thanks, Lindsay!

(...) Hmm, seems I cackled too quickly here. My credit card was promptly refunded as the book has already been sold. Another copy I tracked down in nearby Gloucester MA was just sold ... and I'm waiting to hear back about another copy sometime (...) (23 years ago, 10-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military)
