I've always thought the dinosaur sets were crap, big dinosaurs and
nothing more.
But now, I see that you can fit bricks on their backs, which gave me an idea.
You coud use the dinosaurs and castle bricks, to build a fantasy
medieval world, where people use dinosaurs instead of horses, as their
help in work.
My idea was to build some sort of merchant caravan.
First, lead with two Tyrannosaurus, fitted with spears, axes etc (for defense)
Then, a number of Triceratops, pulling lighter chariots with tents,
cooking gear, etc (the equipment needed to sleep outside during a break)
One or two brontosaurus, pulling huge two-story six-wheeled wagons, with
treasure chests, cages with dino babies (mini T-rex, and the dragon from
the Harry Potter sets) for sale, a variety of weapons, in short, the
goods the merchants sell.
End with a spinosaurus, and add some pteranodon (from the Adventurer
sets) as scouts and -voila!
The main colour scheme should be brown, tan, black, perhaps some yellow.
The minifigs, riding the dinosaurs, should have clothing similar to
Obi-Wan (hoods and capes).
This is an idea I got, and I plan to realise it, at least build one or
two of the things mentioned.
