Oh my, I just got back from LUGOLA, where I got to see this mecha in person,
as well as the mech-bot, and the RR mech. I can't come up with the right
words to describe the sheer brilliance of Eric's mecha. This new one, it
has these fiber optics in is head that look like neurons firing, and the jaw
opens and closes in a circular pattern, as if it's chewing. As for all of
his stuff, I was so much more impressed with his creations than anything
I've seen at Legoland. His work is beyond mecha, beyond mindstorms. It is
art, it is engineering, it is as sophisticated as anything I've seen built
out of lego.
Also, Eric is a really great guy. So much of his heart goes into his work.
You east coast mecha dwellers - if you haven't seen his stuff IRL, you've
GOT to make the trek to NJ. I drove six hours to see is creations; it was
well worth it...
