Thank you all for the great compliments! When I went to the Lugola Meeting I
met this great guy nammed Brian Stokes. He had these huge tote boxes packed
to the brim with each color in it's own box. I got a huge bag of plates and
parts. As soon as I am mentally healed from this NYC disaster I will
continue construction of the GG Mech.

Thank you all for your support and I'm glad everyone digs this crazy new Mech!

BTW during the news broadcasts last night I began sorting thru the parts to
help take my mind off the terror of the situation. Oddly it was soothing to
sort thru the pcs. I guess just the fact that part of my mind was busy
looking thru all the stuff I got me feeling just a tad bit better.

You know what they say about idle hands.

Thanks guys....

Eric

Hello all, Since it will be some time until I can complete this latest
Mecha, I'd like to share it with you all now.

I present,

Shhh I'm building - The GG Mech

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=6782

Inspired from God knows where and from creations I have seen on Brickshelf,
this latest creation features Buggy Eyes and a Green Mohawk courtesy of the
Insectoids theme line.

The head has Fiber Optics located in the Mohawk which look like little
nuerons firing and is activated when the Jaw motors operate, this mechanism
is controlled by a Cam which produces a "Chewing" motion. The neck is
motorized to include up and down movement. The Dark Side Developer kit Motor
/ Light Sensor fitted to the chest operates the neck's side to side or left
and right motion.

Wave your hand and the DSK unit picks up the change in light and the GG Mech
starts moving around, and little beeping noises are heard.

The realtivly new Dino sets provided a neat solution to grizzly claws
contained in the hands.

Since I have flat run out of Grey Plates, I'm not sure when this latest
Mecha will be completed.

GG Mech will grow a set of wings and the legs hopefully will crouch down
like it's getting ready to run a race.

This is part of a design study in preparation for the next phase of the Big
Mech-bot. I hope to learn a good technique for making the spine flex as it
mates to the pelvis area.

Enjoy and I hope to continue this effort until it's completion, when and if
I can secure enough materials.

Thank you,
Eric Sophie
