Again, I am not trying to be argumentative, but I don't see this problem as
one of maliciousness. That is, it isn't "jerks" who are multiposting
individual groups, or not setting followups correctly. Just lazy people and
people who know better, (arguably somewhat jerkish, I guess, on their part)
but mostly, newbies who haven't been taught how to do it right. I don't
think we should come down hard on them, just educate them..

Just MHO.

However I had an interaction with one multiposter and he honestly had no
idea that there was another way to do it. Nice guy, and someone I wouldn't
want to come down hard on, we have problems with perceived exclusivity as it
is. Maybe the posting sign up needs to have a link to standard netiquette or
something and a check that you've read it?
