Dejanews doesn't work w/Outlook Express. Despite some peoples poor
expreiences w/this software, I have had nothing but good come out of it. I
had a news server that carried RTL but it went belly up after just after
x-mass, don't know why but can't connect to it all anymore. And using AOL
for the news groups is against my personal moral standards. AOL is just a
cheap (for the time being) gateway to the internet that is somewhat fast
(when AOL is actualy working). If anyone knows of a news server that can be
used with Outlook Express... Please let me know. Thanks

If you want a news server that's a) worth a damn and b) carries RTL
you're going to have to pay for it.  TANSTAAFL.

I'd check out newsguy.com.  I have an Extra account (details at
http://extra.newsguy.com/ )  I paid for it for 6 months last time,
$39.95, so less than $7/mo.  It carries every group I've ever wanted
to subscribe to and it seems to have a better feed (feeds actually)
than any of the other 3 ISPs I've used.

You may find free NNTP servers out there.  But unless you're talking
Dejanews they're almost guaranteed to suck.  Trust me, I've tried
them.
