OK, I'll be devil's advocate this time.
1. What are the benefits of sacrificing even a little independence to get
cosy with TLC? I'm sure they will listen to what we say just the same if we
do not, they may even value our independence more than our sycophancy?
LUGNet is great for bringing us all together, and gets rid of the Chinese
whisper problem associated with word of mouth distribution of data. To me,
the internet is about getting the latest news fast (BTW : John Barnes has
just been sacked -
http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/uk/scotland/newsid_637000/637415.stm), not
waiting for the newspapers to be printed and then scanning them on to the
web.
2. What if Huw's posts last year was just a huge ploy be TLC to get our
attention?
