It's a pretty funny coincidence, actually.
I'd been going over old archives of RTL(1) and then more recently
LUGNET(2) as it came into being in 1998. At the same time, I happened to
be chatting with Todd about something completely unrelated, when all of
a sudden I switched to my LN feed and noticed the missing articles. So I
pointed it out in the chat, but also figured I should post here--for
what turns out to be the very first time. :-)
So thanks again for the fix, and for keeping this community going. It's
still making connections across the decades--and isn't that the whole
point of LEGO?

(1) via Google/DejaNews--oh, how I wish we could get this archive in
source format; there's so much info missing from message headers and so
forth.
(2) via nntp in Thunderbird--much more pleasant reading interface!

I think that was actually suggested or considered at one point, but the problem was huge volumes of spam, which was one of (...) (2 weeks ago, 9-Jun-26, to lugnet.admin.general)
