RE: Question for Todd Regarding Mark Harrison

(...) Well, I think he'd be welcome back in .loc.au as he is an extremely helpful member of our community here. I think that we'd as a group like to see auction and sale posting allowed in .loc.au. [We'd REALLY appreciate our own .marketplace] so we (...) (24 years ago, 1-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.general)

[ reason for crossposting to admin at the end of the message ] Erik Olson: (...) I don't know if it is a home for the "ordinary" people. It looks more like the country residence of an ordinary senator. The ordinary people lived in "Insulae" iirc. (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jan-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle, lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Ebay auction Group

The reason I'd like to see a separate eBay group is that I am potentially interested in seeing eBay posts, so I don't want a filter which automatically chucks them, but I want to have them sort of all in one place so I can ignore them, except when (...)   Re: lugnet.org.castle.castle-world?

(...) No objections from me with having a dead group -- it's no drag on the server. I don't think it would really be dead though -- probably low-traffic at the worst, not that there's anything wrong with low-traffic if it's focused. (...) I'll try (...)   Re: Official vs. unofficial LEGO postings

(...) This is a little ironic. For years the community tried to get TLC involved and to participate and now it's trying to keep them out. There has to be a reason for this which we (the end-users of Lugnet) will most likely never know. I sort of (...) (24 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.admin.nntp, lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Announcing FTX for discussion groups

(...) I guess I'll reserve comment until I see how this gets used, but I'm really hoping it doesn't sound a death knell for use of news readers. One favor to ask though, while URL links show up as still clickable in a newsreader, all the nifty set (...) (21 years ago, 28-May-03, to lugnet.admin.nntp)

  http server fell down

Apache (the HTTP server on lugnet.com) fell down a few hours ago at midnight. Apparently a cron job is stuck doing a 'ps' and the reaper hasn't killed it because it's gobbling up CPU cycles.
