How does one get the Sharp GP1U52 recievers to acknowledge the 100/125 hz scheme? I've tried using the set_ir_recieve_frequency and ir_counts routines but I only seem to be able to get recognition on port 15. Is there another piece of code that has (...)   Re: HB IR port

Hi Terry, I believe the transmitter circuit already include the 40Khz carrier. You need to write code to modulate the carrier with the low frequency of your information that you want to transmit too. You can do it with simple on/off at the lower (...) (28 years ago, 26-Mar-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  RE: legOS 0.2.2 dsound_play ?

Ok, I see the problem, this won't play WAV files (assuming the description below is accurate). If a new bit to the speaker is only being generated at 8KHz then you cannot get useful speech out of it. What you need is to PWM to get various (...) (25 years ago, 29-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Is the IR reciever on the HB the same thing as in the robot in MR:ITI book? I though it would be different.   task switching strategy?

I've been wandering through the kernal comparing it to similar kernals I have known or written, trying to understand the design choices. Thank you Matt, the RCX loops much faster with your advices : about 10 loops per second. But as this frequency depends on the calculations included in the loop, I’m afraid this will not be enough.
