I too have had the odd "melted" piece in my more recent kits... I suspect
most of us have. However I have not had nearly the frequency you seem to be
observing. I've only had two melted (malformed) pieces in the last 20-30
kits I've bought and frankly its not worth my time to get Lego to replace them.
Perhaps I should... if only to help identify this as a potential quality issue.

| (...) Yep, I've got two (same part, same set) "melted" red quarter curve slopes from 6097. Those are the only ones that I know of, not really a critical part to get replaced as I got 10 of that set within a month from the same KB store. I WANT to (...)
