Well, I'm in the US and I've had the same experience you've had with the SW
sets... nothing defective, nothing missing, and usually some extras.
In fact, I can't recall *ever* buying a set with defective or missing pieces.
It's possible that it's a regional thing, does anyone know how many plants
are in the US? I only know of one, but I'd imagine there are more...
However I doubt it's a problem at the plant itself, perhaps the source that
the defective sets were purchased from got them all from the same batch. If
there was a problem with one of the molding machines it probably wouldn't be
caught for a day or so... that's enough time for hundreds if not thousands
of pieces to be produced with defects.
