Hmmmmm, It's morning and I haven't had coffee yet so bear this in mind but it seems to me that this is a) a fairly cool scheme for post collision detection, and b)expandable to support direction detection through the use of 4 sensors. At first I was very hesitant to have the mail list join the Lugnet robotics group, but now I am very glad it did. The increase in membership, and knowledge was a welcome improvment.   50's or 60's ?
 
If anyone could give me info on this set it would be appreciated. It is set 700/0. It appears to be from the late 50's or 60's. I've searched the web fairly well and It hasn't come up . I am both horribly unobservant and lazy. This first is indicated by the fact that I didn't notice that the time stamps are generated (apparantly) by the local time of the post. Update: I was back at the same Target today (for a completely different reason) and I had to check the Lego section (as always). And what to my wondering eyes did appear but some 1999 sets!
