Re: Prices for Deluxe Brick Box Sets

(...) It is a little strange, especially considering that those sets come in a cardboard box and not a plastic container. The higher prices for basic bricks do seem to be in line with the (URL) LEGO Factory P@B prices>, though. If this is a (...) (18 years ago, 17-Jan-07, to lugnet.year.2007, FTX)

Re: 10170 TTX Intermodal Double-Stack Car Preview

(...) I wouldn't be buying this set anyway, but I'm really getting tired of TLC's excuses to AFOLs. "New molds cost too much" was the old refrain, but now it's "an inability to produce new colors of those parts in our current financial state". Where (...)   Re: Ogre

(...) Wow! I'm glad so many people like the ogre. I'd be honored to see it in someone's CW story, or better yet, squashing minifigs in a game of BrikWars. I put up a picture of the ogre's interior: (URL) you can see, it's just two of the 1x1 bricks (...) (23 years ago, 1-Dec-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Fire Yellow?

I recently noticed the color 'Fire Yellow' in both LEGO Digital Designer and the (URL) color list at Peeron>, where it is listed as LEGO Color #190. It's very similar to regular yellow (#24 Bright Yellow in LEGO terminology), although it's a little (...) (19 years ago, 6-Jul-05, to lugnet.color, FTX)

  Re: Purple problems persisting?

(...) I noticed the same variance in the X-Pod click hinges. And what's the deal with the 1x1 clips in (URL)? At first, I thought it was another mistake, but it's a real LEGO color (I have some DUPLO parts in that shade). (URL) Bricklink> lists them (...) (20 years ago, 2-Apr-05, to lugnet.color, FTX)

  Re: malicious behavior

(snip everybody) Here's the thing, Dave: you're totally right. But there's no point in worrying about it any more. There seems to be a consensus that it's OK to bully Eric on LUGNET. I've (URL) protested it before>, but apparently the admins and the (...) (18 years ago, 16-Feb-07, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)

  Re: general session starting.

(...) I don't think anyone is accusing Jake and LEGO Direct of lying. But Jake can only tell us what he knows. He was completely in the dark about the color change when it happened. Who knows if Denmark is giving him the real story now? The best (...) (21 years ago, 18-Feb-04, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

(...) I still haven't heard a good rationale for moderated forums other than "I want to be the boss". A good bit of the support for moderated forums seems to come from moderators (or those who want to be moderators). Is it that difficult to listen (...)   Re: How have the new colors affected your recent buying decisions?

Short term, my spending has gone up. I spent a lot of money at Dollar General and on clearance stuff at WalMart and KB - all 2003 and earlier sets. I did buy one 2004 new gray set ((URL) 4492>), so I could see the new colors in person and have some (...) (21 years ago, 14-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping, FTX)

Re: Compromised Functionality on Lugnet and Brickshelf?
