Re: New release of Castle series

(...) That is correct. HP is closely related to Castle, but not castle in itself... it is a license to produce toys based on the movie. The last theme(s) where Knights Kingdom (Leo's Lions vs Cedric's Bulls). (...) I think since year 2000, Lego has (...) (22 years ago, 29-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Two really impressive 2002 sets ...

(...) Those "crazy curved pieces" are mateable with the new slope system, and what's better, they include *half canopy* slopes--I just wish they were in greys, not blue and green. Ah well. :) The hinge panels in tan: They've been available in tan (...) (23 years ago, 31-Jan-02, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.year.2002)

The more that I look at the box art for the new passenger train ((URL) the more that I dislike the engine. Maybe it is the bird beak front, or the canopy windscreen (does it come with an ejection seat?) I just noticed that the sides are only four (...) (21 years ago, 10-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)

review of July/August 2002 Club Magazine...

I know that the magazine is geared for a younger audience, my first impression was that of near amazement. I liked the comic sections, but felt the 2nd one (Alpha Team) was a bit short. I also liked the extras included, though I really didn't care (...) (22 years ago, 11-Aug-02, to lugnet.dear-lego)

So yeah, I'm posting in l.general... Anyway, using my amazing powers of prognostication (1), I believe that we NA fans o' LEGO are in for a few nasty surprises in the future with regards to our relationship, as LUGs and organizations, with TLC. Top 5 for main street: 1 The town/city theme has been set aside these last years and needs to come back. 323 463 69% 2 I loved the Town/City in this period. I miss these kind of sets, with true LEGO pieces (not pre-made macro-blocks). Those minifig (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jul-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.pirates)

I'll be disappearing from LUGnet for 2-3 weeks while I head off to Greece and Switzerland. I expect to be back in time for the next BUGS meet at Mel's.
