Re: Desiring Machine (was Re: You get to choose!)

(...) Well, perhaps -- there is certainly desire for certain elements. I think we would all be served better by more selection in the accessory packs, but if the only way to get some things are going to be the Legend and Classics lines, then so be (...)   Re: Why the absence of LD in their own newsgroup?

(...) Ouch! Thats quite a negative attitude there. I do not know they would, nor would I think they would. There are some people such as yourself that think everytime they type it comes out as a marketing ploy that is poorly as disguised as an (...) (22 years ago, 15-Jun-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Castle, Harry Potter, and Town Ultimate Collector's Series

I just recently saw a commercial for the new Harry Potter line, where three children are playing with the new sets. The camera follows the Knight bus down a street, decorated with various houses. This got me thinking: Where are the UCS (...) (20 years ago, 1-Jun-04, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: why has lego direct ignored the space theme?

(...) Amen to that! I thought the whole Star Wars theme was a kick! I thought it a smart move on the part of TLG, HOWEVER, I have to agree with Mr. Wilson regarding the lack of good space sets in recent years. And the absence of any planned (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jul-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: Why the absence of LD in their own newsgroup?

I think LD are often silent for some fairly obvious reasons. Firstly, we LUGnetters don't seem to agree on too many things, so I don't think we send very clear messages about what we want to Lego Direct. Some people want more re-releases of Classic (...)   Re: why has lego direct ignored the space theme? (and Town!)

(...) Ohhh don't get me started on Jack Stone....toy stores should ban the selling of these awful sets. I would like to see the purpose of buying them....a more expensive version of Town Junior Perhaps (with Creator Figs, instead, and an annoying (...) Sorry for quoting so much, it's all context....: (...) I can also agree 100% with what Eric wrote--with the exception that I don't see the "speculation" or selling market as such a sacrophytic organism. There are shades of grey; for everyone (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jun-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: A few questions...

(...) Okay. I'm game... (...) Light Gray. I do most of my Castle MOCs in this color. Some would argue just light gray bricks are better, as they do not limit you to certain styles. But I have a decent number of light gray wall elements, and I like (...) (23 years ago, 29-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

Brick Based Gaming at Faraway Places

I just read a post about possible gaming at BrickFest 2005, and then noticed this addition to Brickshelf. (URL) The person responsible for the BrickShelf gallery is named ApophisV and is a member at Classic Castle. The construction of the balcony (...) (20 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.gaming)

Re: So, how you feel these days?

Funny you should ask. Unfortunately, I have not been able to put nearly the time into my LEGO hobby that I would like. I'm quite dedicated to my family and professional life. I do a lot of playing with my 4 year old & 6 month old girls. We often (...) (20 years ago, 8-Oct-04, to lugnet.general)

What Jim has stated was done so perfectly that it doesn't need any "me too"s, but here is my total agreement with his words anyway. I find that I mention adult LEGO fans almost in self defense. (...) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.people, lugnet.fun.community)
