  Re: LUGNET Memberships

(...) Well, keep your eye out for it, I guess, but in the meantime I'll ask the server to take care of you with a new pw. I got your other reply from your primary address, BTW. (...)   Re: Streamlining the parts selling process

(...) If it's the *right* 5000 pieces, you can be sure my interest will be piqued, although it may not be the peak of piquing... But yes, this is a problem indeed... you have to set the desirables high enough so that you can set the undesireables (...) (24 years ago, 25-Nov-00, to lugnet.market.theory)

Re: My Latest MOC-- a Chateau

(...) John, are you talking about the columns embedded in the wall? That's what the ones in the set you referenced looked like. I actually meant the round pillars in the middle of the front wall (either side of the main entrance(?) and balcony). (...) I was also just thinking that the Castle display at TCS had some stock sets in it (of course that display was also being done for a store which obviously has (...)   Re: Mark's Lego Creations Update! 1/3/01

Cool. Excellent job at pulling off the color scheme. I love the orange technic bits offf the flare throwbot. I'm all for going in new directions with color schemes for space ships. I love the off centered cockpit and protruding sensor array thing. I (...) (24 years ago, 4-Jan-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

  Re: Lubricating technic turntables

I have a few opinions on the lubrication issue: 1. I would be wary of anything water-soluble/organic as it might grow mold etc and perhaps start to smell. Leave some out for a week or two and give it the 'nose' test before using. 2. Even though (...) (24 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Value of garage roller doors

For anyone who didn't see this (and who is interested!), a MISB service pack of doors just finished on eBay at $18.07. See (URL) lot included 2 red rails, 14 red slotted 2x2s, 9 clear slats and one blue slat with handle. Could this mean that the (...)   Re: Is it ~OK~ for government to subsidise profit making industry?

  Re: Posi-trac differential?

I'm not sure I follow you here. Even though the 16-tooth gear doesn't mesh as deeply, it seems to be sufficient to prevent slippage. There is a little more slop, however.   RE: Scans for dark-side developer

Haven't got any scans, but I was looking at this beastie very recently in a top shop display. It would seem that the 'Technic Liftarm 1 x 7 x 3 with Gears (32311)' plays a pretty major part in the mechanism. Also, there is a very clear picture of (...) (23 years ago, 1-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

Under Hanging Train Idea: v1 Concept design

Here's a start at trying to build an under hanging train. Not sure how well, or if, this design concept would work. I've certainly been inspired by other MOCs like this. This concept train only has one car. The ideas are that: - One side of the (...) (23 years ago, 18-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains)
