Auction Feedback (was: Re: 6067 with an added bonus!)

(...) Was I misled? I suppose so. To quote the set descriptions: "Condition definitions: good: The Sets are used but are still in good shape, and include instruction book in similar condition. All pieces and stickers are included, but no box, unless (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.theory)

  Re: Washington DC is GONE!!

(...) Yeah, I was there on Saturday. It was just.. weird. (...) Well, I wonder if they're cleaning it too. The bricks get pretty faded in the sunlight. (...) Wow. (...) That's what I was wondering about as well. I know it's technically off-season, (...) (22 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.legoland.california, lugnet.events.brickswest)

  Review of 6575 Polar Base

This juniorized set is divided into 7 sub-models. The helicopter, the tracked vehicle, the snowmobile, and the 4 quarters of the structure. 435 pieces per the box. General cool things: There is a single instruction book, which has photographs of (...) (25 years ago, 16-Dec-99, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.town)

  New Castle Sucks (so far...)

Fellow Lugnuts: I just had the good fortune/misfortune to receive 6095, 6094, and 6032 as Xmas gifts. I am not going to review these sets except in a cursory way. The gist of this post is to complain on behalf of new castle buyers -- that new castle (...) (25 years ago, 27-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Availability of new castle?

I had to stick the new Castle set under the scan box at TRU in Milwaukee this weekend and just about had a heart attack. $79.99 for 400 some odd BURPs/CRAPs (whatever the ugly one piece parts are)!. Does TLC think kids can't make the walls out of (...) (25 years ago, 19-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general)

Robotics subgroups by mail (was: sensors)

(...) That's correct. The lego-robotics@crynwr.com list is gatewayed with lugnet.robotics only and does not receive messages posted to any of its subgroups. (...)   Hey Brad! Bring back real garage doors! In sets or bulk...

Brad, Rolling garage doors are VERY popular. They are also relatively rare because they were only available in the 80s. PLEASE check to see if it would be possible to bulk order them (assuming the old molds didn't wear out and are stored somewhere). (...) (25 years ago, 23-Dec-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: I know its an auction...

(...) Hmm, now that you mention it, I clicked around some more, and you actually did host the images on your own site. You could have pointed people to those images instead of announcing your auction in the .castle group and pointing them to a page (...) (25 years ago, 20-Dec-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Mission Pics for BAYLUG

Hi, On Baylug.org there will hopfully be three "under construction" pics of Ross' Mission San Jose (in Fremont) built on 2 old 50x50 grey base plates for 4th Grade History. I will also try to post them to our new site on @home. The pics are: 1) a (...) (25 years ago, 20-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

  New Home Starts

I built one of my 1854 Velux House sets this weekend. I thought it would look neat on the end table with the LEGO Santa and sleigh I got from S@H. [A picture of this set can be seen on Huw's site ( (URL) )]. I was impressed with the complexity for (...) (25 years ago, 20-Dec-99, to lugnet.town)

Suggestions for Lego: My two cents

It's taken me a couple days to go through all of the posts following Mr Justus' bomb-shell. It's nice to see lego moving in a more customer-friendly direction. I'd like to add my suggestions/wants/needs :) to the mix, so here goes: I'd like to echo (...) (25 years ago, 20-Dec-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

6026 - King Leo - 19 Pieces Overall: Obviously not much to this set. Cool Elements: The new 3x4x6 windowed tower (dark gray) is good. It would have been so much better if it had been 2x4x6 so you could put 2 of these back to back to make a (...) (25 years ago, 25-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  AND gate brick?

  Re: eLab stuff from Pitsco-Dacta

Having just had both of these for Xmas, I must say that the new bricks seem very good, the capacitor has given my 7 year old much to think about and the 3Volt solar cell has been very slowly moving a simple tracked vehicle along the window sill.   Re: Thanks for the welcome

(...) What set number is that? S@H has never heard of that one! :-) All kidding aside, the idea has been previously raised of themed buckets to distribute theme-based pieces a la Freestyle, and I think it's a great idea! I'd love a Res-Q bucket, or (...) (25 years ago, 23-Dec-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)
