6026 - King Leo - 19 Pieces
Overall: Obviously not much to this set.
Cool Elements: The new 3x4x6 windowed tower (dark gray) is good. It would have
been so much better if it had been 2x4x6 so you could put 2 of these back to
back to make a symmetrical tower.
Likes: The king minifig is good. The knight is great. I love the new helmet.
Also like the legs that have decoration on the hip and thigh.
Dislikes: none
Playability: You’ll need a good imagination with this few pieces.
6094 - Guarded Treasure - 101 Pieces
Overall: I like the set. The knight minifig is identical to the knight minifig
in 6026.
Cool elements: 2 lions head elements, 1 light gray windowed tower element, 12
1x1 gray cylinder bricks, 3 1x2x2 gray cylinders, a 2x2.6 gray arched window
with barbed wire grill, 4 2x2x3 corner extreme slopes and a 2x2x2 extreme slope
cap.
Likes: The new lions head element is way cool. The bull minifig is great, even
with that bloody eye. Love the brown torches!! Nice set design for a set this
small. These are actual buildings, albeit a bit small, as opposed to the
facades of Ninja and Fright Knight.
Dislikes: Overuse of 1x2x5 stud bricks when regular bricks could’ve been used.
Color scheming is a little inconsistent. Why use tan 2x3 plates when the rest
of the building is gray and dark gray? Also hate the 1x2 bricks with side
clip. The seem to have much less gripability than the old 1x1 plates with side
clips. After dropping the swinging halberds, they had to be realigned each
time.
Playability: Very good.
6095 - Royal Joust - 99 pieces
Overall: If not for some of the elements and minifigs, this a loser. The king
and knight are identical to 6026 except the knight gets a armor element!!
Cool Elements: The new stained glass window is way cool and it is
transparent!!! 4 lion’s head elements, 6 tan 1x1 cylinders, 3 2x2 gray
cylinders. the new Bull’s knight(?) is excellent. When I first saw pics of this
minifig I was very skeptical. In reality it is great. We now have Barbarian
minifigs!!! Bulls fans must be ecstatic.
Likes: The return of the visored helmet!! The new minifigs, the stained glass
window, the lion’s heads.
Dislikes: Hideous set design. This is a facade of the Ninja and Fright Knight
era, a step in the WRONG direction. Again the side clip 1x2 bricks fail to
hold the halberds firmly in place. Why include a treasure chest, filled with
trans green if there is nowhere to include it in the facade? And a minor
quibble, but why make the stained glass window a rotating wall element? It
would have been so much better as a stationary window.
Playability: after 2 minutes of spinning the jousting target, I was bored.
