Re: A real live working LEGO Shelf railway...

(...) Whenever I FINALLY get around to building a house, I plan on running track through almost every room, with doors on the hole's in the walls - the train will throw a switch when it gets near a door, opening it. (...) If you have a canister vac, (...) (24 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: next Lugola meeting

I believe that since Henry has agreed to hold it again, he will have final say on the time we start. If he is agreeable to noon, that would also allow us to break relatively early for those who need to go. Henry, when you decide on the time, send an (...)   BrickFest 2001

Haven't planned to attend BrickFest, but kinda wish you did? It's not too late! This is a good chance to meet other AFOLs, as there'll be enough time to hang out and build, or find the nearest Guinness tap together! For the frugal, a Greyhound bus (...)   Re: Wanted - more efficient storage

(...) I have some lovely industrial shelving (12"x36"x72") that I got cheap from a friend. I think the most important aspect is that it has plenty of adjustable shelves. It efficiently holds everything from small Rubbermaid food containers stored on (...) (23 years ago, 5-Sep-01, to lugnet.storage)

Re: First Third Party product for the LEGO(r) Trains market?

I know I'm late in posting a reply to this, but I just had to speak out. First of all, I'm pleased that the 'mainstream' modelling companies/organizations are taking notice of the potential for L-gauge trains (figures they would, since Lego layouts (...)   Re: Gotta clear my conscience...

(...) OK, I'll bite. How does someone "deliberately try to create a shortage" in Lego ? Occasionally I come across something that is HTF (examples being exploriens and armada). I *usually* find these languishing on a store shelf where they have been (...) (25 years ago, 16-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Segway HT and Roomba

(...) Segway is an interesting item in that it's industrial and product design is excellent, but it's a solution waiting for a problem. It's like, they hired great ID and PD guys, but forgot to talk to anyone in marketing. For those who don't want (...) (21 years ago, 31-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Colors that are just a bit off?

Hi all, I have a question regarding color rendered on my webpage. It seems that sometimes different sections of color are just a bit 'off' from each other. An example might be a background with white in it and an image set on top of the background (...) (25 years ago, 24-Oct-99, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: newbie question

I do not think LEGO will be switching rail style or the voltage (the gauge is the same). While the switch in voltage is confusing, the switch in rail style makes alot of sense. I have a 12V train and a couple of 9V trains. The 12V trains are (...) (26 years ago, 30-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

Pointers to where to look in the perl docs or Faq on cpan.org gladly taken. I have a perlscript I want to run on both wintel and linux, and I want to invoke it from an outer script.   Re: CEO-Letter // The answer
