I threw up a page with some quick pics of my building/storage area. ore importantly are the details of my customized labelling system and the tools I have laid out on paper for the desktop. michael, The parallel combination of resistors is the recprical of the sum of their recpricol values. Req = 1 / ( 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3 + ...) Your 16 LED resistors combine to make Req = 1/( 16 x (1/82)) = 5.125 ohms. So your LEDs are drawing just (...) (26 years ago, 1-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  IR Port as Proximity detector.
 
Someone (Can't remember who, so unfortunately unable to give credit for the idea appropriately) posted the fact that the IR port used as a emitter coupled with the Light Sensor unit as the reciever can be used as a IR proximity sensor.
