  Re: Gotta love Oracle...

(...) What if the permit is almost granted to be issued, unless one is declared "unfit"? (by a number of reasons, including possibly being a lunatic or a terrorist) (...)   Re: Freedom vs. Wellfare

Hello Larry, (...) Now, this is exactly where we differ. While you seem to always look at the situation from the imprisoned father's perspective, I see the child to be an innocent victim of the father. And if you feel as a victim just because you (...)   Re: PA censoring journalists again, but repudiating bin Laden...

(...) Really? I'd say a bunch of foreigners invading, terrorizing and running out the native population in the name of religion is pretty bad. Bulldozing those people's homes--pretty bad.   Re: Gotta love Oracle...

(...) There is no perfect scheme but I prefer some process (undefined? what our founding fathers did? something else?) to ratify some basic set of rights and then sticking to those rather than allowing 51% majorities to override them on whim.   Re: Careful what you wish for: clone LOTR blocks sighted

Wow. I was excited to see this, but, it looks yucky. The Buckleberry ferry set has neat lanterns, if they detach. I would try these out to see if the details can be reusable. But: these sets have no soul. They don't even have three walls! FYI, the (...) (23 years ago, 13-Oct-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Libertarian comes through for the Terrorists

(...) I strongly disagree. It is precisely this kind of knee-jerk, poorly thought out logic that leads us down the path of the destruction of our beloved republic.   Re: "The Constitution is what the judges say it is"

(...) What I mean is that rather than debate these issues, we get an argument that goes like this: "It's in the constitution, so we can't change it". I find that "ridiculous". Here is an example: (URL) Gore declared that "the Constitution is a (...) (23 years ago, 15-Oct-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Saw LotR Lego type sets by Playmates in the Lego section

Looks like Playmates toys bought the rights to LotR. The one set was 30 bucks and located in with the lego, right under the HP sets.
