I agree with EVERYTHING you just said. Lets just hope the SDK will shed some new light on the subject... I just happen to be one of those folks with NO SERIAL PORT on my laptop. I have really got to agree with Ralph. It is hard to believe that LEGO hit this price point when you look at what is inside the box. $60 - $30 for 2 Motors at $15 each - $10 IR transmitter - $19 light sensor - $15 touch sensor ---...--- Wow! Hi :) (...) So, a bit like MicroScout, it's programmed through the inbuilt LightSensor, right ? Can you see if it uses a VLL protocol like CodePilot/MicroScout ? ...that way, any Scout/RCX/CyberMaster could download VLL snipets to it. One important (...) (...) dropped too much money and ordered the 8475. After a quick build of the 8475, I'm gonna try to incorporate it into the 8466. And I'm looking forward to it just to see what's up with Gigamesh. According to an e-mail I received from Michael Anderson regarding the Spybotic brick there is "4k EEPROM for persistent program storage (256 bytes available for general use)" To me this sounded like only 256 bytes were available for downloaded (...) Forgive me if this has already been discussed.. I haven't followed all messages here. I was at TLC's presentation of Spybotics at BF. There, it was described as, "the next generation of RCX."
