first time in a toys r us!! (a reflection of the golden days of lego)

Warning: This is only a reflection on my childhood :Warning I still have a vague memory of the first time I went into a Toys R us.... I must have been about 9, and I thought it was heaven!!!! My city, St. Catharines didn't have a TRU yet, we did (...) (24 years ago, 15-Apr-01, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: A question of remembrance...

Richard, Wow, that was an excellent post! Yes, I agree that we should remember all the victims of the Holocaust. I feel it does justice to the memory of the Jewish victims when we don't single them out, because doing so creates a hipocrisy. When (...) (23 years ago, 24-Apr-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: problem with lnpd...help!?

This is really more of a general C question than an lnpd question. Anyway, the problem is with serialization; you want to take a structure in memory, and turn it into a stream of bytes, either to store in a file, send over a network, or whatever. (...)   #pragma reserve 14 crashed my program

I added this code to a program I've written #pragma reserve 14 #define MyVariable(@14) and it caused my program to crash. My program has many pragma reserves below 14 and they all work perfectly. Is their somthing special about 14? I don't know that (...) (19 years ago, 8-May-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

(...) What do you consider "ludicrously huge"? Java for robots in fact does not require a virtual machine at all, it can run on a Java implementation in silicon. We've been using this for about 4 years, and so have classes at the Univ of Utah and (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Tom, it seems that your routines measure frequency but Yoni wanted to count transitions. Yoni, the approach is similar to what Tom has done in that you must use the timer input channels to get high frequencies. In the TCTL2 register, set the input (...)
