  Re: Quick question

(...) I wasn't saying one way or the other. All I stated was that Lego products seem to hang around for a year then vanish. (I'm talking individual products here and not brands. [Mindstorms, system etc.]). The later 1.0's came with a free upgrade to (...) (24 years ago, 2-Jun-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Working around the 3 output limitation

This is a little ramble on the subject. The ideas in the later posts of this thread are in my opinion what Lego **is**. It is innovation in the face of "limited" options. It is creativity and problem solving. When I bought my Mindstorms it said (...) (26 years ago, 6-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: NQC v. LegOS

(...) It isn't a patch for gcc -- the H8300 is a supported target. The only limitations are that the processor has 16-bit ints, which when you start to include traditional libc functions, can require some porting effort, as with other code that you (...)   Re: turtle coding kit (Re: How would we (the rest of us) communicate ideas to the MDP?)

(...) The question is just how much of this is handled at what level within the NXT firmware & software. I'd be surprised if LEGO doesn't do *something* with the built-in encoders - after all, *they* put them there. the question is how much. The (...) (19 years ago, 22-Feb-06, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) As an electronics engineer, my focus would be on circuits and interfaces. I'll leave the software and firmware to software experts! Firstly, for the benefit of the program, I'd reverse engineer the NXT interface (sensor, motor, power) (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  rcx brick fail to download

This particular RCX 2.0 brick fails to download the firmware. I tried different (...) (20 years ago, 28-Mar-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

I have been watching the Scout situation closely, and have been tempted, but if the $50 difference (less with the tower, obviously) I think the RIS is the better choice. It really comes down to whose toy it is. The Scout may be better for the (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)
