Re: Harry Potter Minifig Pictures Posted

The Hagrid body is very interesting. I find it odd how they designed it to only work with itself; no other hair/beard will fit on the body, and, like Matthew said, the beard won't fit on anyone else. I still think the minifig looks cool, though. (...) (23 years ago, 21-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: knights armor in set 4709?

OH MY GOSH!!!!!!! You are so insanely lucky. I've never found any legos at yard sales near me. I've thought about posting signs around campus and see if anyone has old legos they want to get rid of. How long ago was it that you found the castle? (...) (23 years ago, 21-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.castle)

  WANTED: HAGRID and CASTLE FIGURES

It is probably a bit early to request Hagrid (from the Harry Potter theme) figures, but I would love to create a tribe of giants. Also, I am in need of some castle minifigs. If anyone has any for sale, please e-mail me at: legosarefun@hotmail.com (...) (23 years ago, 23-Sep-01, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: Poor Target....

Can we please stop this discussion? While it was interesting and thought provoking for a while, I think we have done more than squeezed the juice from the topic; besides, what Matt did, whether moral or immoral, really doesn't concern any of us. I (...) (22 years ago, 25-May-02, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Any HP sets in Canada?

I may have to check my Wal-Mart; I would find that odd, though. Normally, they have the deal with Toys 'R Us; they even get the toys before the Lego store in Mall of America. but, my toy r us doesn't have them in yet, so maybe they worked out a (...)   The Star Wars Animations

After I saw a couple posts about Anakin's life story, I went over to Lego.com to take a look for myself. While I was there, I also looked at some of the other animations. Did anyone else find them kind of weak? Especially in compaarison to some of (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jun-02, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Walmart markdowns - Newburgh, NY

David: I will check my Wallmart, but I was there recently and didn't see anything. In the event that my Wallmart does not have this deal, I don't suppose you wouldbe willing to sned either the 1349 or 7190 my way? I would gladly mail you a check (or (...)   Shopko Soccer Bus

I was at Shopko yesterday and saw that the American Team Bus, #3411, was marked down to $6.19, originally $20. They had a bunch of them at my Shopko, and I wouldn't be terribly surprised to see them marked down even more in a couple weeks (they were (...) (23 years ago, 6-Aug-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Lego discontinuing Ninja series?

I am pretty sure, assuming Potter's popularity remains, that they would continue to make the movies beyond Goblet of Fire. The ending of GoF lends itself quite nicely to a sequal; personally, I'm dying to know whay will happen next. therefore, I (...)   Re: HP Set reviews....

Here is my only guess as to why the treasure flings out: in the books, the luggage magically transports itself onto the platform and into the castle. The only way I see it, the spring is the "magic" that ejects the luggage all the way into the (...) (23 years ago, 29-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: Factions (and violence)

I agree. Just about everytheme has some form of violence worked into it. I mean, even city center sets had Jail Break Joe. Violence is kind of hard to completely avoid. Most of our society is built around action, and action more often than not (...) (23 years ago, 28-Jul-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: target flyer(jango's slave I)

I'll be checking my Target here in town tonight. When I saw the flier I couldn't believe it. However, if anyone's Target doesn't honor it, or if they are sold out and don't offer rainchecks, I think one could take the add to Shopko or Walmart; don't (...)   Lego Island

In the last issue of Lego Magazine, in the calander section on page 30, June 3-6th mentions the launch of Lego Island Extreme Stunts toys. What are these? Are they really coming out in June? Anyone know what will be included? I'm guessing a (...) (22 years ago, 22-May-02, to lugnet.town)

(...) I tend to doubt that Lego will make another sport theme in the near future. Soccer was such a perfect choice for a sport theme since it is the most universally played sport; every nation can relate to it and enjoy it. What other sport could (...) (23 years ago, 27-Jul-01, to lugnet.sports)

Re: First Impressions: Diagon Alley - 4723

I have to agree with a previous message about piece content vs set creativity. I do think that the HP sets are lacking in a lot on the building side. 4721, 4722, and 4723 just don't do it for me. Granted, I love some of the pieces they have made (...) (23 years ago, 20-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Bionicle Card Game and a question

I have seen the bionicle card game out in stores and in my cataloge; I'm curious, is it any good? I am leary to buy it, but it looks like it might be cool. Any opinions? Also, can you tell me: Do these different Bionicle charecters work together or (...) (23 years ago, 10-Sep-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: 4707 Hagrid's Hut complaints....

TLC HAD to cut costs on HP sets. think about it: they introduced more new and original elements at one time than they have ever done in the history of lego. And tons of them won't be able to be used for other themes (Hagrid, for example). So with (...) (23 years ago, 29-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Well Eric, I'm not so sure. I don't really think Palaptine/Sidious/Emperor has much balance in mind. I really think all he's out for is pure power. I mean, really, when he adopts the Emperor mantle, he doesn't seem to be thinking much about balance. (...) (22 years ago, 21-May-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: 10026...Price versus Parts

While I don't particularily like the price increase, I think it is smart on Lego's part. The number of *drooling* posts is staggering. Surely Lego anticipated that? That being said, knowing that many many collectors will purchase the set, almost (...) (22 years ago, 20-Jun-02, to lugnet.starwars)
