Re: ??? Why the ‘Rainbow Bar’ ???

Good answer Clark! You are correct. The original Lego sets from the late 50's had blue borders with lots of yellow background in the picture on the box, and "LEGO System in Play" in lots of different languages. From 1960-65 (or thereabouts) the (...) (24 years ago, 23-Apr-01, to lugnet.general)

Re: The MISB sets on eBay from Italy!

One of the main reasons I have a good supply of rare parts is that I did this same thing in Germany in 1979, 80, 81, 82, 83, 85, 87, 89, 92, 93. I hit every mom&pop toy store I could find between the Iron Curtain (Coburg) and Garmisch-Patenkirchen (...) (24 years ago, 23-Apr-01, to lugnet.market.theory)

Why Gary cannot go to Legoland.

I mentioned this in another post this week, but I think that I cannot go to a Legoland until TLC/LD starts selling bulk parts in off colors (light blue, etc). It has been mentioned many times that some folks have gone to a Legoland park and seen all (...) (24 years ago, 27-Apr-01, to lugnet.general)
