| | Gary's new EMAIL ID & announcements.....
| Folks, This Friday July 21 is my last day working at the University of Michigan. Therefore my current EMAIL id gistok@umich.edu will no longer work after that date. Yesterday I got my new home computer connected and internet access. My new EMAIL (...) (24 years ago, 18-Jul-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

| | Re: LEGO Pirates! D-Day Approaches!
| (...) Ian- We all feel your pain; we all live with the frustration surrounding life as an AFOL. We are stupid; we are fiercely loyal, we keep coming back, and we won't switch. Be that as it may, I don't think an embarrassment campaign is the (...) (25 years ago, 2-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

| | Re: Bulk Ordering Allowed in USA!
| (...) I urge you to provide this person's name to Gary Istok, so that he can send his bulk ordering letter to the proper person. Also, I don't understand why a a deluge of requests to the Lego employee is a bad thing. What better way to demonstrate (...) (25 years ago, 21-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

| (...) I suppose I can give the person's name to Gary Istok for his letter, but I would probably want to ask permission before I make them the target of bulk email/snail mail/fax asking for xyz, since the channels for that are already supposed to be (...) | | Big Brother is Watching (and reading, too!)
| Well, it only took one day after my posting and a very friendly person (who asked me to keep her name off this newsgroup) from Lego Systems called me and wanted to let me know that (this is paraphrased from memory): "You had posted something on the (...) | | Back to the world of LEGO
| Hi Folks, After a 3 week hiatus, I am back. I was able to read LUGNET from my home EMAIL (gistok@earthlink.net), but not post. I was going to take summer off (from work) when my contract with the University of Michigan expired. However, after 3 (...) (24 years ago, 14-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

| | Macaroni Bricks...
| I just got a LEGO package yesterday from a seller in Germany. And among them were about 50 old macaroni bricks in different colors. I was surprised to find that 5 of them were red macaroni bricks WITHOUT the missing "notch" of plastic that all of (...) (24 years ago, 15-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

| | Re: Planning on a new History of LEGO Windows....
| (...) Steve, based on the size you just described, I am pretty confident that you have the USA/Canada Samsonite parts packs from the early 1960's (the box sizes are too large to be European Parts packs). The set numbers probably are: 1x1x1 windows (...) (24 years ago, 16-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

| | New Main LUGNET page is missing...
| Todd, I was trying to get to the LEGO Company page from the new Main LUGNET page, and I cannot. So I had to go to the old LUGNET page to access it. Is this an oversight? Or on purpose? Gary Istok (24 years ago, 18-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

| | Re: Harry Potter (Film) Set
| However it is pronounced, Gloucester Cathedral would make a great Harry Potter location, as well as a model for a LEGO Cathedral. My "British Cathedrals" book (Paul Johnson, 1980, ISBN 0-688-03672-4) just raves over it: ".... the dominating feature (...) (24 years ago, 18-Aug-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.uk)
