  Re: My dream about lego

(...) Rachel, The 810 (European Town Plan) set had (I believe) a cardboard top to it with the Town Plan scene. There was a pair of wooden box sets from circa 1967-68 that were 820 (filled with LEGO) and 821 (same box but empty). I have the 821 and (...)   Unknown Old LEGO Pieces....

Recently I came across some old LEGO bricks that I never even knew existed (the 4 types of "macaroni" bricks). Now there may be another, but I don't have more than a diagram on a box. Has anyone ever heard of the following bricks: a 2x12 and a 2x14 (...) (25 years ago, 29-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) Rachel, it sounds like you might have a Dutch/Belgian or Danish version of the wooden box set. They had the sliding top box tob wooden box sets in the 1960's. The German sets from that era were hinged, except for set 700 (which had a picure (...) (25 years ago, 30-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build)

(...) <SNIP> Yes they do. It gets very annoying when building with old 1970's bricks. I know, because I have over 100,000 bricks from before 1980. When I built my new red LEGO Cathedral, I took pains (and pain is the correct word here) to make sure (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

  Rare Classic LEGO Window variations

I just got an very old LEGO set in the mail from Germany last weekend. It was the old 1950's version of the Town Plan. It is set "#700 mit Inhalt" (with contents), and is in a large wooden box with a 2 piece sliding lid that has the 1950's Town Plan (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

Interesting theme. There are lots of talented builders out there. Personally, I'd love to sit down at the same building table and build some rolling stock with: - James Mathis - John Gerlach - Ben Fleskes - Will Chapman - Zonker Harris - Steve (...) That would be Conan (don't know his last name, but Larry P. does). He has 2.3 million. He is a member of GMLTC, but doesn't participate in LUGNET. But his collection is of rather recent vintage, if memory serves me correctly. In the number 2 spot (...) (25 years ago, 2-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)
