  Re: Ultrasonic sensor interactions

The problem here is the management of a single shared resource, i.e. the air through which the ultrasonic signals travel. The lack of a Bluetooth broadcast mechanism makes the implementation of a conventional resource locking system difficult, but (...) (18 years ago, 21-May-06, to lugnet.robotics, FTX)

  Re: Manitou Rotary Truck

(...) Great job Mervyn! That looks quite involved. I am not familiar with that model, but it looks like a telehandler crossed with a mobile crane. It is definately more complex than the telehandler I did (in the "previously featured MOCs" section of (...) (18 years ago, 19-May-06, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: LEGO Factory Updated

(...) Agh! I love that you can buy models priced per-part, but the part placing is driving me nuts! Tiles are the worst - they just won't fit. Try placing two headlight bricks (1x1 brick with stud on side) side-by side, then attaching a 1x4 tile (...) (18 years ago, 10-May-06, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: NXT Programming with Next Byte Codes

(...) The NQC compiler in some form or other is headed for NXT support but for a number of reasons I needed to produce a functional assembler first. Now that it is mostly complete I will be trying to shift gears and work on NQC. I will post several (...) (18 years ago, 3-May-06, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) I agree! I was afraid that they'd go for the Best-Lock proportions of two-plates:one-brick or, even worse, the 6:5 Best-Lock:LEGO brick-height ratio. I'm glad that they sensibly stuck with Cobi's existing proportions. (...) I'm very fond of (...) (18 years ago, 20-Apr-06, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)
