  Re: challenge: LEGO copier

(...) Ugh. Much harder than it sounds: either the robot needs extreme visual acuity to spot the brick boundaries (so it can tell two 1x2 bricks of the same color end-to-end from a single 1x4 brick... or, more importantly, which order a 1x1 and a 1x4 (...)   Re: Black Falcons

(...) True, true... I suppose my inn is relatively flexible, and could even serve as a "cool contemporary pub" in a modern town, and most certainly a Pirate base. Scar, too, BTW, *could* be a townie... <ah! the horror! ;-)>... and she already was a (...) (24 years ago, 14-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: See Technic Store Display 1995 or 1996

I figured I'd get this question you have posed... Uh, I probably shouldn't say.( Gulp!) I did not find it in a dumpster, but I'm told that unless they find homes, they end up in a dump! The display is very cool. I'm much more into building my own (...) (24 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.general)

Hey all, Haven't posted anything in a dog's age 'cause I haven't been able to afford a new camera and my current one doesn't take pictures that meet my rising standards (especially compared to what I've seen on Lugnet!).   Re: LEGO Stegosaurus Sculpture

Fortunately, my roommate moved out (and took all of his furniture), leaving me with full access to the living room. The question then should've been: "How did my roommate get his sofas and bed out of the door?" Luckily the head of the dinosaur (...) (24 years ago, 7-Sep-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Rechargeable batteries and the RCX -- Firmware error

One or more of the battery contacts could have lost its springiness. Try bending all the contacts in towards the other side of the compartment (not too far!). Also, the contacts that supply the power from the batteries to the circuit board may be (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jul-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Good lightweight shelving for display?

Does anyone know of good, lightweight shelving that works well for displaying assembled sets (and possibly boxes and directions)?   RE: Scout vs RIS and reverse engineering and Byte Codes

(...) I'm just guessing. If it has the upload data opcode, why not unlock firmware? On the RCX, there needed to be a specical code "Do you byte...etc" to allow the firmware to be "unlocked" and executed from 0x8000 hex. Now, the trick was to monitor (...)
